Our members get an opportunity to exhibit their work for a week at the centrally-located Memorial Hall at South Downs National Park Headquarters in North Street, Midhurst.
As well as framed original artworks in a variety of mediums, the public also have an opportunity to buy mounted unframed pieces, sculptures and cards.
This year our exhibition will be open to the public from Tuesday 30 July to Monday 05 August between 10.00am and 6.00pm (4.00pm on the last day).
Last year’s exhibition took place between Tuesday 31 July to Monday 6 August 2018.
It followed a very well-attended and successful private viewing on the evening of Monday 30 July where sales were brisk and people generally seemed impressed with the high standard of work.
This year we amassed a total of 431 paintings, with 270 framed pictures on display along with two sculptures by John Fenney.
Every year we ask the public to votes on their favourite piece.
The winner for 2028 with 16 votes was Colin Wilson with Spritsail Barges at Low Tide:
Second place: John Robinson – Rain Shower Coming In (14 votes)
Third place: Caron Buckingham-Rhyder – Van Dog (12 votes)
If you would like to exhibit at the show this year please find how to join our society.
